or I could always farm plasmas? or if I'm really "that desperate" do FC for items to resell? Besides I'm a sucker for the engine that SMT uses. I brather do that then sidescroll, click 6 different buttons and heal, and then rinse and repeat.

Orpheus is also way right with that.. sadly >>, if you want to you can always just buy a crapload of XP puzzles.. or darts.. or etc, and resell for like 800~1m, easy and fast money. What I usually ended up selling that got me most of my $ was usually the first prize Ladecks and such, I got a bunch of money from the snow bear suit.
