Also, THE SNIPER IS ACTING JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER SNIPER IN VIDEO GAME HISTORY. TEAM FORTRESS 2 DID NOT INVENT SNIPERS EITHER. The girl with the baseball bat showed no indication that she was moving faster then anyone else. But that is also irrelevant, BECAUSE TEAM FORTRESS 2 DID NOT INVENT BASEBALL BATS. And the robot with the grenade launcher doesn't have a bandage over his eye. He has metal plating over his eye. Do you know why he has metal plating over his eye? Because the developers were trying to portray him as psychotic! That's also why he has a white teeth pattern on his face and elongated red eye. Please look at more then 1 feature of the character before instantly saying "LOLDEMOMAN".
Oh my god, you're right! Surely Valve weren't the ones to invent the minigun and baseball bat!
But they were the first to implement all those weapons into classes. I wonder how they chose the weapon for the scout-like character, they probably came up with a list of melee weapons then did some dice-rolling right? They could have chose 100s of different melee weapons, it just had to be an aluminum bat, and the class using it just had to have a double jump right? Stop being ignorant and open your eyes.

-Games have had baseball bats as melee weapons before. And the running animation is far from "exactly the same". The girl doesn't hold the bat behind her, like the scout. But that's irrelevant, because the animations should look the same. Otherwise that would mean one of the animations didn't know what running looked like. (all running animations look the same?)
-Or the glowing stars from Mario. Or that sparkly thing from Sonic. invulnerability isn't exactly a new concept.
-I've already talked about the look of the robot, but I agree that the grenades look nearly identical from the grenades in Team Fortress 2. But unless someone else can come up with a new way to design cartoony grenades, I could care less.
-There's a reason that the health regen items have the + symbol. A red(and sometimes green) + symbol is always used to convey that health is being gained. It's a common gameplay choice that's been around LONG BEFORE TEAM FORTRESS 2. But that's also irrelevant, because the partical effects from the healing items at the medigun don't look anything alike.
-Maybe that's because the sniper in Team Fortress 2 IS JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER SNIPER IN VIDEO GAME HISTORY. Well, aside from the Australian accent..... and the jars of piss he throws at people.
-The art styles and technical capabilities for the games are nowhere close and the music in HAVE's trailer is nothing more then generic action music. Not to mention it bares very little resemblance to the music in Team Fortress
Ok, now you're just denying the obvious. I'd like you to name a game that was class based with a scout/heavy/demo/soldier before TF in 1996, or to be more specific, name a game with a class that had a baseball bat, ran fast, and double jumped, and a class with a guy that shot pipe bombs out and had one eye. The classes share an obvious resemblance in appearance, the soldier could have looked a lot different, the demo is a clear ripoff. You can keep lying to yourself though, as for the sniper, what is with the "HEAD SHOT" every time you HS someone? Does this not remind of of the green CRITICAL HIT when you shoot someone in the head?(what other games have big green letters that appear on your screen after you hs someone?). So it's not a direct 100% ripoff, but it has borrowed multiple elements from TF2, and saying you see no resemblance other than the grenades is just stupid.

Ohh ok, so the one eyed Demoman was all just a coincidence, I see. Every game has a one eyed demoman nowadays.

You basically just repeated what I said.
