so i just restored my computer the sound was working bf anybody have any clue why this is happing i can hear the speakers but no sound i think its the drivers tho this is what it says u have no clue where to find these drivers

With which kind of cable are your speakers connected to your PC?

In that case, does the usb one have sound, with the one in the back not?
Does the one in the back look like the one on the pic below? ![]() edit: my sentence structure is really awesome today. -.-

It's most likely that.
You selected the wrong playback device. You can change it by rightclicking the speakers in your taskbar and selecting the 1st one in the list.

Is your jack in the right socket? It should be in the green one.
If it is, I'm afraid your soundcard might have died.

I don't know either. :/
It was the same with my IDE controller on my mobo. After 6 months it died without a single reason, leaving an old trash HDD (never sent it to back it up, too much porn on it ) and my only DVD-drive useless.You can buy a new internal sound card for like nothing, so you can just buy a new one without having to worry about not having sound.
