supports are not all powerfull and can be taken down fairly easy if you work together a bit. Despite that, yes i admit they are a bit too strong while the recon is a bit too weak (it has no real benefits, as night vision is virtually pointless in any of the current maps).
The weakness of a support class is that it cannot run and cannot see through cloaks. So when dealing with supports as either a reckon or an assault your best bet is to run and cloak so he loses you on target.
I've had about 4 succesful support takedowns as a recon but sprint cloaking all the way behind him and shooting him in the back of the head.
This of course, only works if there is no assault or whatever around since an assaults motion tracker can see through a cloak.
@stabkiller: CTG is just an addon to standard TDM. You don't NEED to capture the ghost to win. You can win perfectly fine by just seeking out every enemy and shooting him. Capping the ghost is an alternative method to win of course, but is not as easy.
We usually use the ghost primarely as a tactical advantage as to knowing where everyone is, rather than a tool to quick win the match (as there are usually Dropzone campers anyway).
@paramine: the fact that you don't have crosshairs by default is simply to increase the level of tactics (primarely compared to CS(:S) where you can just run and gun). Having no crosshair prevents you just spray'n praying.
Slow turning while aiming, well, you are still human after all. I personally am also still yet to see a person do a 360 turn in less than a second
