Sanguis looked up at the sky, it was truly beautiful, especially at night. The half moon giving off a soft glow of pure white light, it looked so peaceful and calm. Around it on all sides were stars little glimers of emotion. When Sanguis looked at a star he saw emotion, each star was different. The North Star twinkled with happiness, Betelgeuse, however, was old and it was tired ready to die.
He looked down at his watch midnight, and at this he felt his eyes change, it was a curious sensation as though someone was painting a circle on each eye and once they reached the starting point it stopped. So they are purple how interesting. Sanguis didn't have to look to see which eye was which colour he just knew. However after this thought he was struck by pain. It coursed through him in quick bursts, jolt after jolt of mind-numbing pain, Sanguis fell to his knees panting. So soon? The last one was but a weak ago... Damn the month changed. These pains were nothing new, but if he had been checking the date he would have been prepared for his monthly attack. Well the real show won't happen until noon. His first attack had been when he was seven and the main pain was at midnight, but after that it aways happened at noon these pangs were simply a warning.
He stood up wiping spittle from his chin and saw the brute he battled before. Should I kill him? He has one of those chips... Sanguis bent over the paralyzed man once more. No I won't kill him, if he comes back then he will die.
