Michael Jackson was a good performer, and a good music artist, but beyond that people try to over glorify his life. The crazy bastard went insane and fuked up his face and slept with random children in his bed. He did not bring the black community together at all. Sharptons speech was also just plain ridiculous. Now that is what I would call an over glorification there. I think he claimed that Michael Jackson made people comfortable for voting for Obama... wtf?

I would have expected a more intelligent post coming from you. The, now former, allegations on him sleeping with a child and molesting him are false. The "supposed" victim came to truth and told officials that it was all his dad's plan, so they could have a little bit more money after the trial.
Michael may not have changed the way we listen to music, but he changed the way music progressed. He made very good music, music that inspired the likes of Madonna, Usher, etc. That music transcended into different music which we all, at one point in our lives, have enjoyed.
