He's never been a genius in my opinion. He's long past his best, which wasn't even genius, really.
What I hate about his fans, as evidenced in this thread, is that they find it acceptable to just quote him. They won't say why, or for what reason, but they'll quote him. It's like when you watch a funny clip on YouTube and the comments are just people posting quotes.
