When a person runs from the cops after breaking the law than I completely understand, but when a mom takes her daughter to the police to help quell a family argument and the girl runs away... a taze is not necessary!

He warned her to stop. That alone is enough. No matter what if a cop tells you to stop, you stop.If you run, that is an indication that you did something bad.

The family successfully sues the city and wins a big settlement. Granted, no amount of cash would ever bring him back.
I hope the family of the girl sues for everything that they can get. The white knights here raging that cops can do anything they want should get a grip.

No offense but it was his mistake.1st he was driving drunk, which could lead to him getting killed or more important killing someone else.2nd if the cops pull a gun on you and tell you dont move, you dont. Why did he go for his fishing pole??So,not to sound careless, but it was his mistake.
