I'm looking for something interesting to the likes of those high school gangster type manga. The closest that I could find that was awesome was GTO: The Early Years.

I love the whole Japanese high school gangs with the pompadours, the bosozoku bikes and cars, etc, etc.

I'm sure someone here knows a manga like that. Help a brother out.

40% of mangas are about delinquents ... just search High school + action ... + comedy and u will find hundreds ...

Akira, I've seen like 1000 times, read the manga, and it turns into a sci-fi rather than the genre I'm looking for.

Cromartie High is too comical for me. GTO: The Early Years was a good one as it had a mixture of comedy but it had more serious moments than comedic (even if the comedic side was very funny and perverted).

What site would you recommend to do these searches? So far, the 2 manga I'm interested in reading are:

Shakotan Boogie & Wangan Midnight. I can find WM easily, but Shakotan is much harder. Think you could work your anime/manga magic and help me find SB?

As of right now, I've been reading the WORST manga. It's pretty damn epic.

And Gokusen... just seems too comical. I'm very much into manga that's pretty serious (even though WORST has it's funny moments).

I read manga like Berserk, Gantz, etc, etc.
