I'd also say Flash would be good for beginners but I feel that the advantage could be found in learning C++ or Java.
I say this because although Flash seems easier and quicker to produce the way you code would be different from other languages. But when using C's or Java you get used to OOP(Object Orientated Programming) and usually the results are far more than what you get out of Flash. Meh... Take your pick!

well, technically, Flash is considered an OOP. All the different instances is an object. I just don't know why Macromedia (now it belongs to Adobe) doesn't try to expand Flash's horizon by far and allowing it to manipulate more things instead of just 2d and stuff. Adobe's doing a good job, I have to say, by making AS3. Hopefully by the time it reaches AS4, it'll advance to the level of C++ and Java.
(What I'm really waiting for is Flash to run servers and clients and stuff... Flash owns!) |
