I decided to dig out my prehistoric mp3 player but the trouble is that I have lost my driver CD. I managed to get my hands on file manager which I can use to transfer files through but I just can't find this specific driver(in title) and the automatic Windows driver search didn't find that driver too. Any ideas where to search for really old stuff?
If you can't post where to get em PM me. You know what i mean ![]()

The download link is very visible, under the headline. -.-

Ok. That's a little different iRiver site. I remember I used another one for drivers which was official but now it has had so many remakes it doesn't even have any drivers to download at all.
But what do I do with those 2 files? It extracted ifpusb.sys and ifpusb.inf. Do they just stay wherever I extract them?

There should be a firmware update button somewhere in the file manager and I believe you need those 2 files to get it updated.
The site's full of how to upgrade links but all of them are dead. That or the high-speed driver is lost forever in the depth of the internet. :/

The file manager refuses to do anything at all -.-
Gotta ask my dad maybe. I know he got this thing working on his computer a few weeks ago when I lent this player to my bro. Curse this old player.

Nope. We turned the house upside down many times. I lost the disc after a year or so after I got it. Most of the time I relied on the old website where I could directly download everything I need in .exe and just install it. Now it is all gone and there is not even a word about this player let alone IFP series at all.

1.--> Copy link and paste on address bar (Irivers Official web site)
http://local.iriver.com/usa/lounge/l...=2&cateCode=01 2.--> Download iFPDrivers.zip 3. --> Click iFP-700 extract that whole folder to desktop. 4. --> Now thats your driver folder so when windows cannot find the drivers browse and click desktop then select this folder (iFP-700) hope this helps! FYI Works for any of the iFP devices.(Just extract the one you need.) Last edited by mikeladder; 08-23-2011 at 11:18 AM. |
