Default Really Pakistan? Really?

I was watching the Pakistan Ambassador to the United States of America on PBS and he was saying that a possible reason why Pakistan was not able to find Osama Bin Laden was because that Pakistan is more focused on the threat India poses to them. And then he goes on constantly saying how superior America is to Pakistan and America is a important ally to Pakistan.

This made me think "Why don't they focus on terrorism first and foremost and if India does attack Pakistan their ally America will help with that when it happens."

Seemed like a weird excuse to me. Seems like they don't trust us as much as we do not trust them. The trust between Pakistan and the USA needs to be strengthened and corruption in their government needs to be washed out and then if that corruption leads to an explanation to why Osama Bin Laden was never found till now or why he was allowed to live there (if he even was knowingly allowed to live there) be hanged out to dry for the world to see. Terrorism needs to be stomped out and the India - Pakistan relations should be talked about more if Pakistan feels so threatened.

Stop the people who are killing your people now!

But yeah I'm curious to what you guys think and if you have anything more specific to add please do.

I made a joke asking someone "What will the terrorists do now? Move into India?" and my friend laughed.

Bush didn't put any resources into finding Osama, neither did Obama. Why should Pakistan?

Osama wasn't a threat.

Still he is seen as prominent force in the ideology behind the current terrorism movement (just my opinion) and is like a figurehead for terrorism. I think he was a threat but will I say I know he is a threat? No. I don't know the exact specific info and I wont argue that he his hands down the worst person in the world but I still believe that his death is important now concerning the USA - Pakistan relations. I am just so interested on how the USA - Pakistan relations will evolve or devolve from the date of his death onward into the future.

Osama Bin Laden's death is a great way to spark foreign policy changes.

you're looking at this from an America-centric viewpoint.

If you knew about the history of Pakistan-India relations you'd understand why they regard that as far more important than finding some washed up terrorist.

Well like I said in the OP add any specific info if you want. I am looking at this of course in my own "special" point of view. But if India poses such a big threat to Pakistan and Pakistan holds America as a important ally then I am really shocked to why this isn't discussed more. I am now Googleing this exact subject out of curiosity since it's just so interesting. Really changes my opinion on India and what threat they pose in the world. Other than their economy and amazingly cheap technology. God I want one of those cheap tablet PCs!

They knew where he was the whole time, really. Look where he was staying, and more importantly it was between two military compounds.

The US were probably closing in, Pakistan realized it, panicked, and was like "Hey, let us help you. Hes in there."

Sure it's another conspiracy theory, but come on, they changed the story so much, apparently he used his wife has a human shield, now he was in his Pajama's and unarmed. Pakistan is scared of us, that's the only actual reason why we're so close.

It might be true. Happens all the time with Drug Cartels.
Because they bring in so much money to the country they're usually overlooked, that is, until the U.S. comes looking for them.
