288 is the correct answer. I was thinking it was 48 divided by 24 at first but you only have to add what's inside the parenthesis first then you solve the problem from left to right.

48÷2(9+3)
48÷2*12 24*12 288 Brackets drop after you finished what's on the inside. x(y) factually is x*y. You work out from left to right and multiply/divide is on the same grade, so it doesn't matter as long you start from the left.

288 ofcourse man ^^ u do 48÷2(9+3)
(9+3) then 48÷2 u get 24*12 and then 288 ^^
