I was watching Cspan and they were talking about blaming the Principles for not regulating bullying.
I was like WTF? Regulate bullying? Children are bullies so you are regulating children. People need to regulate behavior... And stop blaming the schools for their kids being full of shit. The only ones who should blame the school are the victims! And in schools that are paid for by the government I say kick bullies out. My taxes shouldn't pay for teen suicide.

You can't blame schools 100%. Sure more should be done to punish such behaviour, but teachers don't deserve 100% of the blame.
It's just the way humans are, bullying will always be there and always has been. The only chance you have of ever stopping it, if it ever happens to you is to stand the **** up for yourself. |

I say that if you're kid's a bully, it's because of bad parenting at home along with poor punishment standards in the school. It's not "just" one or the other.
If a person is being bullied in the school systems, it shouldn't matter who's doing it. That bully should be put in suspension and expelled if they repeat the system. Parents should also suffer when their children commits offenses. I've seen how the parents of bullies react when they're told that their child's committed a crime or bullied someone at school, a majority just don't care...might as well make them.

I was only bullied in Middle School a tad.
And yes adults patrolling campus at all times makes it harder for bullies to bully on campus. I never got bullied in High School cause I like to think that the teens I went to school with were smarter than that. Plus a lot of us had been in the same classes in Middle School and in a lot of years in HS. You get to know people and they are nicer to you. Plus you have the Zero Tolerance policy to thank for a lot of it. Bullying is harassment. There are no excuses for it!

Arri they have school administrators for that. All they give a shit about is punishments and how to punish anyway.
What the school shouldn't do is turn a blind eye on purpose. They should notify the victim and the bully's parent's if they notice something then do something swiftly. What the victim should do is go for help. The adults aren't going to do anything if you don't speak up. But it's hard, public schools dont give a shit about good administration or good education anyway.

The responsibility should be 50/50 for school and parents simple as that.
To say the school have no responsibility on the issue is ridiculous it's on their grounds. I mean if there is a issue of bullying and the school does nothing yeah it's their fault. If they do everything in their power and it still continues then yeah I would agree not their fault. From 1-12 school is like a second home and it's there job to make sure we are safe. But yeah of course the parents should also be held accountable for their child shitty behavior. |
