But hm I didn't get the Jahova's witness feeling till now.
Smug jerks in playing dress-up thinking they know God. Bah Humbug.

Also about reincarnation energy can not be created or destroyed just converted. I believe in reincarnation just not exactly intelligent design. It's kinda like those people who say when you don't look at something blah blah blah. But yeah from dust to dust is a great saying to symbolize my belief on the afterlife.

Science, debunks the things that religion says. Like, another popular argument is evolution. Religion says we came here from sand, where as science has shown we evolved from a species of animal.

Your post was "then again the main purpose of religion is to explain what science can't... "

So in those terms, you are saying, the main purpose of religion is to explain what science is. Where as, in the old days of the bible, science was only considered math, and medicines. If you were to say "we came from animals" you'd probably be stoned to death or something.
Religion is a tool, it's used by humans to explain the world around them. So yes religion explains everything.
Religion has no real evidence or proven basis so religion proves nothing.

Science was developed to explain what we saw that contradicted what we believed and evolved into explaining everything. So science explains some but proves all it can explain.

Therefore MODERN science is the basis and MODERN religion is an attempt to explain what it science can't.

You're trying to read into a statement regarding modern day science and religion by bringing up the history of science and religion. I'm not making a statement about the origin of science and religion I'm making a statement about the roles of modern science and religion now this exchange ends here, I have no desire to argue religion on an mmo forum. I get plenty of chances to argue religion on campus

Everytime you post you keep answering the same thing I said earlier.

Religion says
Science explains.

Also there isnt much modern religion, I haven't really heard of any new additions to the book

Are we talking about May 21-st 2011? If we are, then how many times the Earth should've been destroyed till now?

When ever some guy or woman gets a crack pot idea, or weird coincidental occurrence, they brain storm that human civilization is going to end.

But then, I came to the conclusion. I would rather die believing in something, to find out there is nothing, than to believe in nothing, and to die and realize there is something. I mean it can't hurt.
Sounds like Pascal's wager to me. If you're going to do this, you'd better hedge your bets on the right god / goddess / being / pasta, because of a lot of them are not inclusive of the other ones. If you pick one randomly chosen belief over any other (each of which with same amounts of unsubstantiated evidence) you're really no better off than abstaining from it all together.

Faith is pretty much useless crap.

The battle of science vs. religion ended when churches started putting lightning rods on their steeples.

Religion was meant to set man free from his basest urges, to go and achieve what he is truly capable of.

It has failed.
