i honestly don't know. I could go ask my classmate who uses Parallels Desktop or something for Windows 7, but he's told me before that it's almost impossible to play games on it. I use a Macbook Pro 5,1 and under bootcamp I played Fallout 3, Halo 2, World in Conflict and Gears of War perfectly fine. But then I got rid of the partition for Windows because it took up lots of space, I rarely used it and I needed to install 55.8GBs worth of audio sample libraries.

Don't think there are any disadvantages at all. I haven't had any problems with it, when I used to run windows on my macbook.
You're really just limited by the crappy mac hardware.
