Edit : I've lowered my standards and am accepting pretty much any MMORPG right now as long as it is free and actually party dependent.
Basically, an MMORPG where you spend more time playing in a party than soloing. Games that have a party feature but where partying is essentially pointless don't count. Back in the days of Diablo 2 when spambots were rare, I would join a random game, party up with people, beat up monsters, kill some bosses, explore dungeons, collect loot, complete quests, etc. It was fun, and I want that feeling back. You'd think that it is pretty easy to find an MMORPG like that, but it seems nearly impossible to me. I've played countless games, and most of them following the mind-numbing solo quest grind gameplay that WoW popularized by throwing a chain of quests at you at the very start of the game, and it never, never ends. When I am level 10 and am still following quests I don't care about from random NPCs I don't care about, I just quit. Where's the party play? Where are the awesome dungeons? What about PvP? I don't want to collect 50 broken ribcages from red ogres that have a 1/8 chance of dropping. I don't want to run from NPC to NPC to hand over reports about monsters that I have the kill in the subsequent quest. I want to utilize the online multiplayer aspect of the game. Why is that so hard? Games that I know of -Rapplez (really hard to get into since it is so old, everything is too expensive for newbies and getting into a party without a high level pet is difficult) -Trickster (lame since no exp is shared, you're barely playing as a party) -DDO (not interested in the D&D thing, I'd prefer the cartoony MMOs more) -DOMO (on the verge of dying) -Eden Eternal (very fun until you hit 45 and the game turns into a boring solo dungeon farm) -Megaten (too repetitive, I don't mind repeating dungeons but this game takes the cake. You're literally running through the exact same dungeon every time, one-shotting every monster until you reach the boss, gain a tiny amount of exp, rinse, repeat. It's not fun and there is not much to look forward to at high levels either. Expertise grinding sucks too) Summary : I'm looking for a free MMORPG where people actually party up to level up and go through dungeons and stuff.

Wait for EE. *angry face*
But ugh Flyff awesome! Also I guess you could play some DOMO. You need to party a lot in that game to grind.

I forgot DOMO, that game was awesome. I feel like it has hit its peak though :/ I'm actually waiting for EE, but I'm too impatient to wait for open beta. It takes way too damn long.

Just Grand Fantasia. I really didn't like it. The graphics looked so fuzzy and weird. The characters were ugly. The pet sprite thing was so pointless and dumb. The world looked nice, but the game is a horribily generic quest grinder, and solo grinding quests as a priest gets boring quickly. No wonder there is a shortage of support class players in every MMO, no one wants to play support because there is almost nobody to support save for the rare instance you only do once since you have a quest there. What a waste. When are developers going to put the Multiplayer back in the MMORPG? Maybe we should be calling them MORPGs instead.
Kitsu Saga looks like a worse version of GF so I didn't even dare touching that.

This could use a little bump. Anything interesting lately? Is Lunia still populated? Oh and if so, is it still party based? My last experience with Lunia was the first person who entered my game breaking the rocsk and subsequently quitting so he could play by himself.

Another bump.
Guild Wars is probably my favorite MMORPG. Started since launch in 2005 and played it way too much though. Do the other games like Karos, 4Story, Pandora Saga have a strong population? I heard they are empty.
