Okay so i just installed GIMP (PS:CS2 wont work

) and i was bored so i opend it up. Then i wanted to make a sig but didnt want to read a tut so i got a render messed around and made this

I know nothing about sigs nor GIMP and in GIMP it keeps giving me this error when i try to use effects like SuperNova

. So here they are, I made two one with a border and one without.(I dont know how to make a border but there is a an effect called add border).

-Which one looks better, the on with or without the border?

It isn't horrible but google some tuts Ok for your first

Just do a 1 px border to start..
that one is WAY too big

rofl,there's an add border tool for gimp?how come i never saw it?

I have no clue and i just got GIMP lol. Accept when i try to use some Plug-In effects like Super-Nova it crashes.

Also the border thing is under script-fu somewhere.

just go to
select>select all
dialogs>paths>make selection to path(the red circle)>stroke path
stroke path>stroke 1px

and there's ur border

or u can do:
make new layer>select fg color
select>select all>shrink
select layer>cut

(i think i skipped a step or sumtin)

Make sure Shrink is on 1 px and you forgot the fill the bg before you cut it.. thats all.

naw,u dun needa fill it if it's alrdy black coz i said "select fg instead of bg color, when u making the layer"
