Does this even work? For EU clients it's mostly a huge rip-off in comparison with US clients who save up to 25% when buying a game.
Like Battlefield Bad Company 2 costs 29.99€ which is 43.8874$ but for US the game costs in 10$-20$ range iirc. So is there a way to use this "proxy" thing to get some games cheaper on my already existing account or is it impossible?

No.
Your Steam account will be permanently disabled, I tried this three times, once with Hotspot shield, second time with Proxpn, and third time with a private VPN that I had bought, all three accounts got banned and three CSS games wen't to waste. I suggest you do what I do, you find someone reliable in the US, send him the money in euros, give him a little profit, and let him buy the game as a gift for you. |

Oddly enough when I tried to buy Bioshock for cheap using an US VPN (a trustworthy one) Steam wouldn't let me. I mean, the sale wouldn't complete at all since it would give me some weird error.
Knowing that it could have ended in a ban, I'm glad it didn't work, lol. |

but unless you are buying brand new games as soon as they are released steam is quite cheap. you get lots of good offers and old games they are practically giving away. i think their prices are fair. |

I have yet to buy a full game and there are some good ones. But after seeing how much I am getting ripped off I am left with a prayer that it will eventually go on sale. I just can't buy a game knowing I am being charged extra 20$ which I could've used to buy another game instead of 1.
