Niola watched as Cyr noticed the leader behind him, who challenged him, was none other than...Dzi. Tons of questions filled her head, yet she discarded all of them. After all, it seemed the teenager boy before her had no recollection of who his "enemies" truly were. That fact was proven when Cyr bellowed "traitor" at Dzi, filled with dark emotions that would have easily shaken anyone who knew the meaning behind the word, yet Dzi should no sign of guilt at the accusation. Instead, he not only dodged Cyr's attack swiftly and effectively, but also hurled a strong gust of wind at the lightening. The force behind it, as well as the force of colliding with Cyr's lightening attack, nearly knocked Niola off her feet.
"Tsk, if this keeps up, they'll end up killing one another," Niola screamed in her head as she kicked off the ground and watched from above. "I cannot let that happen. There must be some way to correct this twisted chapter of fate that someone rewrote."
Suddenly, Dzi was almost face-to-face with her, levitating in the air only a few feet beneath her. Noticing he was creating what looked like wind boomerangs, only thinner and slightly deformed, Niola decided it was her chance to interfere. Flipping forward in the air and then sweeping her left foot on a wave of wind, Niola shoved her arms out in front of her and focused on the wind around her. Instead of trying to counter the wind, Niola created two disc-shaped vortexes, spinning in opposite directions, and literally started to send the attack back as each one of Dzi's attacks hit it.
"Have you really forgotten us?!" Niola inquired, trying to keep her voice calm and friendly. "I know our relationship was an abrupt one, but we fought together. I'm Niola! The one you are trying to fight is Cyr. And there's Nel..."
Niola continued listing off names, and her mind flickered momentarily to the others (Ben, Tara, and Jack). If Dzi really did forget about his friends, and stood on the side of the enemy as the leader of the group they were currently battling, then...what had happened? A ping of fear crawled within Niola's skin, and she remembered the consequences that followed whenever a chip was implanted in someone. She could easily glide up to him and check his neck, but she didn't want to. If there really was a chip in his neck--if there was, there might not be a way to bring him back. After all, they hadn't found one way to remove the chip except...death.
