You are getting the ACMA list and the one they are using for the voluntary filter confused.

Besides if Telstra/Optus implement it(highly unlikely at this point) it gives their customers valid grounds to change ISPs.

It is also unlikely that the mandatory filter will come to be, as the Greens will hold the balance of power next month & Labor have quietly closed the department responsible for the filter.

Thats what I got from the news post so I assumed specific themes to be including others including CP.

Yes the filter is voluntary which im sort of relieved but still havn't heard any new from TPG yet.

The news post is wrong, the "500 websites" are "purely" Child Porn. As for TPG you are safe, as the only ISPS doing it are Telstra, Optus, Web Shield & Iprimus.

Telstra & Optus resellers aren't affected either, so if you are on a Telstra Line but with another ISP you are safe.

Still doesn't look likely to happen in a month if at all(the article I linked was an example why).

It's also only voluntary for ISPS, not it's users.

It's not that bad, infact a good majority of the population has been actively protesting both filters and is one of the main reasons we have a minority government with the Greens controlling the senate.

Nope, but if someone is under a C cup in a school girl outfit/pig tails in playboy magazine, it "could" be deemed as Child Porn unless their age is proven.

It's a stupid law and one only a small minority of wowsers actually agree with. It's one of the laws no one actually cares about or enforces.

Usually it is stated that all models are over 18 in an adult magazine, and usually also on website, so it could be pretty useless.

I don't mind a filter aslong as they keep it directed on CP sites.

They better not get to cocky and start blocking everything else besides facebook and google lol.
