((OOC: Wow, mariesharley9, it has been a long time since I seen anyone post that long. You may want to break your paragraphs apart with spaces in between them for others to read. Someone who sees text smashed together like that might find it difficult to read. Still, I love how you described your whole background in an actual post, instead of a summary. I enjoyed reading it. ))

Niola knew that getting answers would not be easy. Still, she was shocked the woman didn't immediately fight her. Instead, she tried to reject Niola by threatening to murder her and her friends the moment Dzi returned back to "normal". The bitter manner she spoke to Niola merely confirmed the question of whether or not a chip corrupted her thoughts and warped them into the distorted view of whoever toyed with nearly everyone at the academy. In fact, it was almost as if they considered each other as a villain, their beliefs being similar to an antagonist in a story. Wasn't that usually how wars were started? Two sides attacked one another, assuming that the intentions of the other would destroy them. In the end, both sides were protecting something they loved and cherished, making the war seem like a meaningless cause. If such a situation was happening at the moment, then wouldn't that mean a ton of innocent people were killed for no reason?

"Who do I think I am?" Niola pondered the words out loud, hoping to address each comment the woman spoke. "Well, that can be answered by explaining why we are doing what we are doing. I am someone who is trying to protect something...my friends. We are currently fighting the people you stand for because they killed--no, that's too polite. The word I'm looking for is massacred--they massacred a lot of people. Granted, I never knew them, but I do know the people who stand by my side. If you try to stop my comrades and I, that makes you AND your comrades our enemies."

Niola pretended not to notice the sharp, slender blade positioned at the woman's side. Instead, she kept her gaze locked on the woman's face, peering intensely into the spot that would have been her eyes. She did not need her Twilight Blades to fight, for her power of wind manipulation was enough of a weapon to deal with. Perhaps it was because Niola had no secondary, magical ability that she knew of, but her control over wind was strong. It would be unwise of the woman before her to attack her on her own, unless she too had some hidden talent that could counter her (Niola) own.

"I've explained my reason for being in this war, so it is only fair to give a response of equal value as well. That is, unless you have no information to share. If so, that is too bad. I happen to know some data on Dzi that I doubt even you would know. But, if you are not interested..."

"Tsk, I hope I am not interfering in the business of this woman too much. It is obvious she and Dzi were sent here to kill everyone who survived the incident that befell the academy. If I meddle too much, she might murder me on the spot. That, or she might go after someone else while their guard is down, like...Cyr! I have to try not annoying her too much, and if I do, stop her from getting any ideas that may involve a plot to kill Cyr while he is unable to defend his body from harm."
