I never really thought so. while it's obviously a game with the GTA model of play, it certainly holds its own with a funneh story and unique style. I actually like it a lot more than GTA.

Maybe I didn't give it enough of a chance. It came with my 360 when I bought it from a friend and I never paid it much attention before I traded it in.

I feel like whereas rockstar's games have gotten more serious and (imo) much better, these games have been committed to being ridiculous/silly. and not everyone likes rockstar's new direction.

so basically, there's room for both series to exist, I think.
