That 9400gt is overpriced and the power supply is a bit meh. If that is your budget I would go for this combination. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814161315 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817171046 The video card is much much much better and the power supply is more trust worthy. You will even be able to play newer games at settings that are better than consoles. |

HP cases apperantly don't like non-HP delivered PSUs. Measure your current PSUs sizes before buying one.
PSU thing 2: it's cheap and I cannot find anything on it. DO NOT BUY THIS. GPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-585-_-Product

Yup you have a PCI-E x16 slot.
It's probably only 1.0 but it will be compatible with the card I listed. If your budget was only what you listed then get my combo. But as SnOwBunZz said make sure to measure your case and PSU to see if it will be able to fit the new PSU you are getting. |

I am not sure if it is 1.0,1.1 or 2.0 but the age of the mother board could possibly support 2.0 or at the very least 1.1 since 1.0 is very old and first came out in 2003.
2.0 came out in 2007 and the motherboard seems to be from 2008. |

Guess I should be heading to bed. -.-
Somewhere in my mind popped up that 2.1 wasn't backwards compatible with the older ones. Which could be explained by some people panicking non stop that their card doesn't work because the bios didn't support the GPU at the time. -.- (if you're wondering... I've seen this two or three times and it won't get out of memory)
