I find it extremely hard to beleive the average gamer age is 37. Mainly because the majority of minors playing video games lie about their ages. Does anyone know how the ESA gathers their information. It might also be so hard to beleive because im under half the average age >.>"

That seems a little high but I do know at one point in time, there were a lot of people here who were in the 20's and 30's.

I just turned 28 this month, when I was younger I'd easily blast through 40+ hour games and/or spend 6+ hours a day playing MMOs but now I rarely finish games and if I do it's over months and as for MMOs forget it, get bored so fast now.

I know in some fashion I'll still be gaming into my 30's however at that point I wouldn't consider myself much of a gamer.

I would say most gamers (I hate that word.) are between 16 and 30. My Dad is like 53 and he still plays games all the time. He got me hooked on MMORPG's when i was like 8 or 9 years old. lol

EDIT: I'm 19 by the way.

lol i started playing when was 11,im almost 19 now so yea...lol..that seems like such a high age..

What illgamez said. Also, older gamers have families and responsibilities and they don't frequent forums like OnRPG, which is geared toward F2P games.

With some of the nonsense that goes on around here I probably wouldn't visit either if I wasn't so damned immature.
