Tried getting Sony Vegas 10 but when trying to install it says my operating system is out of date so I'm going to format.
Is there any way I can get a serial code for Windows 7 or Windows XP? |

XP... well... only old machines or stubborn people who think it's still the best use it, so no point linking it.

I'm pretty certain you can tell me the few things that it take to make Vista better, right? Because Vista wasn't that bad as people claim, especially after the SPs.

Vista was not in any way user friendly, and it ate ram like the cookie monster eats chocolate chip cookies. Basically, a man is offered two cars. An older model, has all your basic features, runs well, handles all weather conditions, and can be easily expanded with any accessories or upgrade you desire. OR A newer model, with a top of the line paint job, the latest engine, and all the latest accessories and gadgets. However, it's parts&maintenance are really expensive, it's not the most gas efficient, and it's not suited for winter conditions. Most people will pick the first one, because it can do everything they need it for, without much complication. TL;DR it's not that Vista was the most terrible thing ever, there just wasn't any real need to acquire it when XP was still around and viable. uh...windows 7 only cost $100, unless you need the professional. Which is still 120-150

If you can grab a copy of windows 7, do it. Vista was a flop up until they updated the kernal in the later service packs.
My dual core computer at home that runs windows 7 out performs my quad core computer that ran Vista, considering that I am a graphic designer it was quite funny to see. |

Other than the RAM issues, I have to agree. Vista isn't nearly as bad as when it first came out. The only reason I upgraded to Win 7 was because I got a combo pack from newegg that came with the 64 bit pro version with a GeForce GTX 550 Ti and my Vista version was 32 bit.
