This is totally true, if you buy a normal PC for the average person store bought, don't even expect it to run the latest 2007/2008/2009 games. My dad bought a 800 dollar PC from BestBuy and it was one of the BIGGEST RIPOFF i've ever seen. Not only does the computer lack a good graphic card to run anything worth playing (on board graphic FTL ), it's power supply was INSUFFICIENT TO POWER A 8800 GT Nvidea card...
I did some analyzing on the PC and found out that all of the parts used to put together the rig would cost me like 400-500 dollars total if I build the computer myself...
Do not buy a full package computer for gaming, unless you know specifically what the computer is intended for, period.
