For the past 5 months i have been looking for a rts maker....well i have just been kicking up dust. i cant find 1. does any 1 know of 1? plz if you do post the web page or any info you have on a rts maker. i dont mind if you have to pay for it. free or you need to pay any info would help me.

Im not sure exactly what youre after, considering that there are different degrees of maker out there. If youre looking for a maker that specifically makes RTSs and little else, I dont think there are any out there. But if you use a maker like GameMaker, you can make an RTS with that, because GM can do just about anything with the GML scripting language. You could also try to search some open source sites for an RTS engine. You'll have to know the programming language it was built in to be able to expand upon it, but since the engine itself is already built, it shouldnt be too difficult.

Last time I checked Torque game engine has a nice RTS pack...

Well i used game maker befor it could not get far in it becasue i whated to do some things that game maker does not support. Do you know any thing like game maker that is free?

PS: i can olny script a little. i am not very good at it.

GameMaker IS free...

Or are you talking about the $20 multiplayer version? Heh, just build the thing single player first. By the time youre done, you can save up enough couch change to pay for the rest of it.

Google. If that fails, theres nothing. Learn Visual C++ .NET and read some tutes. Good luck.
