Default .mkv files

Whenever I try to watch .mkv files from VLC it would play the first 3 minutes or so an then repeat it again, without sound. Then when I drag it to some random time in the video the slider doesn't move there and the video doesn't either sometimes.

However everything seems to go well when I use Windows Media Player Classic.

But some videos don't seem to play well on WMPC so I want to use VLC.

So does anyone know what the problem with VLC is? I already tried re in stalling it.

As for other files, VLC seems to run them pretty well.

Ditch VLC, switch over to MPC completely. Install CCCP and you're set.

Yeah that's pretty much what I've done. It's just that sometimes videos show a little pixelated with MPC while smooth in VLC. Oh well D:

VLC used (and I'm pretty sure it still does if I ever try it again) to artifact a lot with 720p and low size mkv files when I played them. :|

Never happened to me with MPC. :/

Vlc sometimes throws in random pixels when watching movies. I'm still using windows media player 11, but then with a codec pack.

You try changing the output in MPC?. Some of your option may be messed up.
