Default Cloning hard drive contents?

Just wondered if it was possible to make an exact copy of my hard drive (OS and all installs included) so I can move it over to a new drive that I'll be getting, and then format this drive to use as secondary storage.

Basically, I'm just going from SATAII to SATAIII, and don't want the hassle of re-installing everything yet again, so want to make a clone of my current drive and move it to the new one.

Is this possible, and if so, how?

Try norton ghost. I know there's more out there, but I keep forgetting the names of them.

If anyone would like me to build a rig, I'd prefer it to be in a thread in the tech section rather than PM. Thank you.
