Default About the new skill sys, like it?

The new skill system to be put it will replace the old one that will be coming in a patch in Winter.

This system will take out your pxp bar and you will have a sxp bar instead.
unlike the pxp bar that starts at 100% and goes down, the sxp bar works its way up like the exp bar but at a much faster rate. After it fills completely you can upgrade any skill by 1 level. 1 to 2 or even 19-20. Therefore taking out the need to skill spam and lv them.

I personally see a upside and downside.

Upside(s)
- You dont have to worry about leveling spells, and just get them as they come.
- It makes the game somewhat enjoyable since you dont have to put up with spamming spells that suck/have cooldown.
- Makes the game more simple.

Downside(s)
- For people that worked hard for their spells and "noobs" that just got plved are gonna both get reskills and the same amount of points, therefore getting equal rewards for unequal accomplishments.
- Makes the game more monatamous(spelling?), in other words, bigger and worse grind. so now if you wanna still play and not fight you can just level skills, but now you have to fight to level skills.
-Helps favor certain classes over others. For example Lets take a mercenary and assist. Assists, esspecially rms and fs's which is what im gonna use, they require to have a lot of skill points to be "decent" When on the other hand mercenaries only need a few spells and therefore can save their points for the 2nd job adv and be able to max their good spells earlier and faster.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So let's here your opinions on this system. please vote as well.
Voted 'No' because the skill leveling system was nice, and original. Now the skills are just like all other 347289374 MMORPGs.
If they do it like this, it basically ****s up the existing characters. It will be an entirely new game, not a change. Skill-by-use vs. skillpoints is a completely different gameplay.
Right now, you can level skills as much as you want. Builds are not based on skills, they are based on stats alone: as a Ringmaster, I don't have to decide which buffs to level, I just level all of them --- I only need to set priorities to decide which ones to level first. When a Flyff-2 goes to the traditional skill-point system, people will have to decide which skills to level, because they can no longer level all of them.
In fact, my Ringmaster even has things like Powerfist and Stonehand --- skills that are useful, although somewhat "out of character"; they would only waste skillpoints in a Flyff-2.
Along the same lines, a Jester can level his 1st job bow skills, an axe-user can level his sword skills and so on, if they want to. They can no longer do that with a skillpoint system, as it would take away skillpoints from their "real" skills.
Whether or not they can balance the new system remains to be seen. I'm primarily worried about Ringmasters --- while the aforementioned Jester doesn't have to level his bow skills, the existing Ringmaster class is already bad, and they basically *have* to max out all their skills, or at least most of them to have some use in the game. Whether or not they should take the opportunity to revamp the other classes remains to be seen, but restricting the skills means that Ringmasters have to be revamped or they'll completely drop out.
Rather than completely changing Flyff to a new core concept, they should improve the existing classes. I also have a long list of things that should be done --- changes to the party system, making guilds more useful, getting rid of GameGuard, improving the game's idea of "contribution", ... so they don't really have to revamp the core concept of the game to be able to make improvements. For a start, they could start with fixing some of the ancient bugs :-)
Having a skill-by-use system isn't that bad, and skillpoints aren't all shiny and flawless either.
If they want to redo Flyff, they should consider wiping the entire user population for a clean start, rather than trying to "convert" existing characters to the new system. Big "changes" to an existing population are almost bound to fail.
The other option would be to leave characters as they are now, possibly with higher skills than what they could get wth the new system. This would be interesting, as these characters will then be impossible to make in the future, so EBay-prices are probably going to skyrocket, and people might pay handsome prices ingame to get support from a Flyff-1 Ringmaster instead of a Flyff-2 build. :-)
Went back to Cabal for a bit, but PK isn't my thing at all, so I don't know how long I'll stay this time.
OMG! KARGOR SWORE!!!!
Anyways. This is ridiculous. When you normally kill a monster, your pxp bar will be 100%. therefore you can level your skills and afk spam it that way. Assist i am.
But from wat squeck said and with assumption, Killing a monster to get sxp? What of non-fighting Assist? That's me. I'm Full Support. It appears that we have to party up to get sxp.
I do agree that we don't have to waste our precious MP, Cooldowns and time for lvling skills but killing a mob could lead to suicide.
You guys are looking at this the wrong way. It only screws players who haven't worked on their skills. 1st class skills cost 2 points to level once, so that makes it 1 level almost every level. 2nd class skills cost 3 points to level once, that makes a skill level everytime you level. Knights, Psys, Eles, BPs, and RMs made after the patch get screwed since they can only level some of the skills they want and don't get the freedom to test out skills.
I believe this makes it tougher for newer players, while lder players can max a skill once they get it, with the new update, new players will take and extra long time master. Level 60 skills will take 10 lvls to master (60-70), while we, the older players have them already mastered.
The advantages we get go on and on, you just have to look beyond the fact that spamming willbe a thing of the past.
