So how often exactly are you supposed to replace them? I've had my phone for just about 10 months now, and the battery life has (expectedly) dramatically decreased.
When I charge it to 100%, it drops off to 90% within about 10 minutes of me unplugging it. I can generally go about a day and a half before its completely dead. When I first got it, it could do almost 5 days. Are you supposed to let your phone drain down to 0% ever? I always thought t was better to top it off than let it hit 0. Like a car. |

That's a bad phone you got there.
I've had 2 cell phones, 1st for about 4 years and 2nd is now on it's 3rd year, and I have never changed the battery even once. Battery life is as good as new, overcharged(plugged in even after it's charged) very often and for longer periods. To be honest I didn't even know you need to change the battery for cell phones at all

well, rechargeable batteries do tend to lose their charging ability after a long while. my htc touch 2's like that. used to last 3 days? now its barely a day.
anyways, why bother with a new battery? im assuming you guys change phones like every 2-3 years? i'd say just tolerate it for a bit. |

Wouldn't hurt to get a new battery, worst case scenario you have a spare for emergencies.
I tend to get anywhere from 2-3 days from my Nexus One, but that's dependant on usage. If you are using an android phone, you could try flashing a custom ROM or kernal as they usually have better battery life then the official versions. |
