The Game:

Scarlet Legacy is a new f2p asian martial arts mmorpg recently out of closed beta testing. It starts off with a regular character creation system that is simple and easy to use, giving you the choice of four main classes.


Class System:

Warrior: Melee DPS, high defense & health, Heavy Armor
Monk: Melee or Ranged DPS, Support, High Health, Medium Armor
Assassin: Melee DPS, High damage & Speed, Light Armor, Elemental Attacks
Mystic: Ranged DPS, Support, Healing, High MP, Light Armor

The class system which seems limited at first becomes more interesting as each class is able to branch out to three different weapons and three different talent trees allowing each person to become their own unique character.

Graphics/Movement

Scarlet Legacy gives you the option of either wasd or mouse control to get around and features an interesting double jump system that lets you explore the world around you. The graphics for this game are not the worlds best but are good and can run well on most systems.


Collection System Pet/Mount

Pets in Scarlet Legacy will travel beside you, help you kill enemies, and grow as you do. The pet system lets you hold upto a maximum of 500ish different pets at once with each pet being able to level into 4 different grades of ability. The sheer number of pets available can be overwhelming at first but insures that most people will be able to find at least one they really enjoy. (I love my polar bear)

The mount system was the thing that suprised me the most about this game and that is the humor the developers took in developing some of these mounts such as the Zombie mount that mauls you as it carries you around, or the Fire in your Pants mount which really makes you run. There are also epic mounts such as the Demon Fatty, Mammoth, and Dragon Turtle and more but the funny ones really make me give a double take like the Cannibal mount which hold you over a spit roast.

Gameplay

An important fact about Scarlet Legacy is its ingame botting system I know people who like to grind and people who wish it didn't exist and for the latter this is the kind of game for you, or for those of us with jobs/school who are not able to play 24/7 we can turn on the bot before we leave and reap the rewards later which I greatly enjoy. For those afraid that people will just afk their way to the top there are multiple dungeons where dedicated players can receive valuable items. (and get murdered ruthlessly by scary bosses)


Community

The game uses a typical guild system, where guilds can be grown and expanded by their members, but also an ingame mentor program to help beginners. One of the funnest things so far though would have to be the daily minigame list offering things from whack-a-mole to free for all pvp blood baths they are actually pretty enjoyable and you can get ingame rewards for doing them I found them as a nice little distraction if I ever got bored.

PVP

Each map is either designated as protected or dangerous and shows you whether or not you are able to be attacked by players in these maps and while they are mostly protected at the lower levels the higher level maps lean toward the dangerous side. I am the kind of person who tends to avoid pvp and luckily this game has a bounty system where you can earn titles and items for hunting pvp players which I do like and expect to protect me from all but the craziest pvpers. There is a lot you can find if you look for it but smart playing will keep you alive in most situations.

Summary

I have played games before similar to this but Scarlet Legacy has a few things that make me really enjoy it first off the pet / mount systems I love to collect things and both of them give me lots to collect.

The ingame bot really helps to make any grind less of a chore and more of a "Lets do it while I sleep" kind of thing.

And finally the gms in this game have been very reachable which is just a good sign for a healthy game.
