Aoers can't solo, never, they need an assist to heal them. There's only one exception and that's aoe Rms, and to a lesser extent Int aoe BPs. BPs and Rms get the assist skill prevention, which fully heals their HP bar when their HP drops below 10%. With sufficient Sta, the monsters are unable to one-hit that remaining 10%, making the BP/RM invincible as long as prevention is active. That's how they can aoe without needing a healer. These types of builds only work at high level, 105+ for an aoe RM and 90+ for an Int aoe BP.
Blades can't lvl without a RM. Theoritically, with a high-Dex build it is possible, but your blade would be very very weak. Not worth it.
Eles need Rms. No exceptions.
YoyoJesters need Rms at all times, no exceptions.
Knights need Rms, no exceptions.
Rangers need Rms, no exceptions.
Now we get to classes who can solo.
All psys need Rms... Except satanology 1v1 psys, but those are very slow levelers and I wouldn't recommend it. Though if you don't mind the slow leveling speed, satan psys are 100% non-dependant on Rms and can kill giants very well.
BowJesters, when lvl ~80+ are no longer dependant on Rms. At that lvl, they have maxed attack speed, maxed critical rate, and max hitrate.
Aoe RMs, at lvl 105+ as I stated.
Int aoe BPs, at 90+. 1v1 BPs can solo all the way up to hero, they have their own buffs. Never make a burst crack aoe assist, although they lvl fast pre-60, after lvl 60 they suck beyond belief.

TLTR : aoe RM, int aoe BP, BJ, 1v1 BP, 1v1 psy.

I soloed as a ranger at 50+ just fine, I didn't even need an rm, I used a pot every 3-4 kills, waste of pots and money you say?
By the time i've used that 1 pot, I can afford another 3-4 pots.
So, profit gained + pots spared.
I think i'll make a guide on how to succesfully solo in FLyFF, instead of being a party ho like most people.
PS: If you realy want to be a noob, and have 2 computers, blade+rm.. easy leveling ofcourse
