If the option was there I would get a VW Microbus/Vanagon....That would be worth swapping the engine and getting body rework done on, one of my favorite vehicles. I do refuse to get a honda civic though.

Keep in mind most car salesmen are crooks. I hate to say it, but it is what it is. I know there are honest people out there, but when cutting corners is so simple, of course people are going to abuse the public who is generally ignorant about a specialized topic.
Bring someone who knows what they're doing. Check tires and gas/break lines and the breaks. Make sure the horn works, and other things they check for during inspection. New (used) tires will set you back $100 for 4 of them. Breaks can get expensive, and odds are its gonna be a ***** to replace the lines if they're messed up. Mind you, money can be saved if you do it yourself at home, but that requires tools and knowledge and time and patience. All of those things rarely come together ![]()

This is very true. Most of the time they will just degrease and water blast the engine bay and fill any scrathes on the body. A mate of mine works at a new and used auto seller and has told me to never buy one from there. They mark up the prices so high.
