Lol, If Atheists have to complain about something, it could be something important, its so easy to nit pick at every essence of religion, but what does it really matter? Are you trying to convert someone, because this isnt how. but replying to you like they say, God works in mysterious ways, I think there's a reason people are born with disabilities, they end up becoming the best people in the world. Hellen Keller's life is a frickin miracle how she did so much through all her problems. Like Cy said, things like these make you think about how much better off you are than so many people in the world. Its so ironic for you to be complaining about God's ways in this thread in the first place lol.

To all of you idiots who immediately jump on the god comment. Just shut up and think before you type. Unlike her, your post wasn't made in a completely emotional state (or was it? Ya, it was, admit it.), you had the ability to think for yourself and not be a sheeple before typing it.

It was a very emotional moment for her. Do you think she carefully prepared what she said? She's probably not even that religious, and if she is, so what? She isn't saying "OH THANK GOD FOR GIVING ME THIS CHANCE TO HEAR MYSELF!" She said "god is good". And even if she had said that, she would have meant that she is thankful gave her the chance, the probability, the possibility, that she would get to hear her own voice.

Also, honestly, I think the world would be a better place if we spent the first 25 years of life either deaf, mute, or blind.

Scientific or religious, its a miracle that we have come this far and are able to help out people with a lifelong handicap like this.

Its just kinda built up over a lot of threads that get derailed by peoples religious beliefs. Not just here, all over the web.
