Well, I only played for like 2 hours yesterday and really, the game is somewhat of a grindfest. Actually, it's almost impossible to level up by killing mobs, quests are pretty much the only way to go.
Also, some classes have a lot of trouble killing stuff in the early levels (Necromancer...).
It's true about the regen rates, I barely have the need to use pots.
