I was wondering if anyone could suggest a game where you can gain rare items from monster drops. Items that you can't buy in any store. Only from players and drops. Pretty much how Runescape has somethings. I played that game for awhile, and I believe thats what kept my attention.

I hate the thought of killing tons of monsters and getting nothing but exp from it. I'd like some sort of economy in the game where it's more then what you can go track down some NPC for anyway.

Ragnarok online, MVP (special monsters) spawn like every 1 hour+ and there's a 0.01% chance of getting their card, enjoy.

you should check out conquer online, but not 2.0 cause its pure shit.

Its gameplay is nostalgia, open pvp, item types (norm,ref,uni,elite,sup), +1-+12, the game is pretty much about killing mobs to get gear, trade w/ other players to obtain certain gear, upgrading that gear, and pvp/guildwars.

i play a classic rate 1.0 priv server so hit me up if you want info.

Bounty Hounds Online is a new game so there are still tons of items to be discovered that people don't know about.

The thunder weapon in vanilla WoW is impossible to ever get again unless you buy an account from a player.

Entropia Universe is heavily focused on its ingame economy.

There are a broad range of common to rare item drops from hunting as well as craftable items. The only items you can buy directly from the game developers are the very first beginner weapons and tools.

I ended up selling the dagger for around tt+32k ped.
It was the second one to ever drop, and there are still currently only 3.

English Priston Tale. Some bosses only spawn a couple times a day and have low drop rates. There are some key items that almost no one has and are almost priceless. There was a new patch with a new tier of items, and no one has gotten one yet. Tons of rare items in EPT

Any MMORPG games have it's unique rare items. Uncharted Waters Online also has a lot of rare and unique items to gain... Ragnarok and Rohan also has it's own different rare items ad drops.
