Default 2D Browser-based MMORPG [No plugins required]

Hello all! My name is James Daniels, I'm a Community Manager and Content Developer for Sagramore, a 2D browser-based MMORPG set in the high fantasy world of Lumera. Don't worry, I am not here to just plug in a site and leave, I'll check back daily to answer any questions anyone may have.

Game Information

What is Sagramore?

Sagramore is a 2D browser-based MMORPG based on browser interaction. We are constantly developing and expanding the game and feature sets. With a large world to explore, many adventures and quests await you, which you can access from almost any device with internet access.

*Ports specifically designed for IPhone & Android can be expected in the near future

What is Sagramore?

Browsers have seen a leap in performance these last few years. This opened up the way for us to try a new concept. This is also driven by the growing market for smart phones, tablets, and netbooks. We see a growing demand in games to play on these devices.

We simply wish to create an experience, an online story that can be accessed from nearly anywhere, and looked to HTML to bring this experience to life. We hope to bring a story to the world that is partially created by us and partially by its own community. So please join us in our public alpha testing currently underway!

What features can I expect to see in Sagramore?

Don't be discouraged by the fact that this game is browser-based. Sagramore features real-time interaction and everything else you'd expect from an MMORPG!

Among many other things Sagramore will feature:
  • A large world to explore
  • An immersive storyline
  • Completely customizable character creation (tons of freedom to create your own look)
  • Over 15 unique playable classes
  • Many, many compelling quests & side quests
  • A dynamic world with NPCs that roam across it
  • Level-up & character statistics system
  • Friendly GUI & Game interaction.
*Sagramore is steadily involving and always accepting user feedback. That said, join our forums and start submitting ideas of gameplay elements you’d like to see in Sagramore.

How do I play?
Sagramore is currently in early Alpha stages, however in order to ensure a final product that players will enjoy we have made all testing stages of Sagramore open, therefore you can play by signing up on our website. (See links at the bottom) The requirements are:
  • Web browser that supports HTML5 elements (IE7+, Chrome, Firefox or Opera)
  • Flash plugin, for a better connection (Optional)
As you can see the requirements are very loose thus Sagramore can be played from almost any device with an internet connection. We plan to release specific apps for popular mobile devices in the future.

I like Nikoobu's work.

Typo on your links.

Should be 'Forums' and the URL should be www.forum.sagramore.com

Your hair-color selection glitches-out at darker shades of orange. And the walking in character-select becomes faster and faster until it is crazy-fast.
Aaand the game freezes after talking with Joseph and saying "hello".

It would be nice if to the left of NPC Daniel there was some cute animation like a cat chasing a mouse or something (good games have). The blue butterfly would suffice.

Lol @ the scarecrow bleeding :P

Daniel's dialogue after 3 scarecrows should include the HP bar image.

King Varn... Where is this name from?

Map should load the area of my screen first (map loads too slow)... Maybe have cache-ing and load the next map area before you enter it?

Priest Vallance had an odd quest-accept dialogue.
"Would you mind giving them a hand?" And if you say yes then that means that you do or do not want to??

Ok, cute game. Will play later.

Very excellent formatting in your post. I love the use of images to support subtitles and ... It's just an aesthetically pleasing opening post.

Umm. What is the answer to the "Are you a bot" question on the forums? "No/N/no" did not work for me.

Thank you very much for your input, I understand that some of the existing bugs may turn new players away, however we are working very hard to get the game into a more presentable state. So please stick around and experience the changes that will come with Alpha v1.01 this Friday.

As for forum registration, we were testing some new anti-spam measures and may have triggered a bug there. I will follow up post here once that issue has been addressed!

EDIT: The forum registration bug has been fixed. You can now register on the forums!
