I don't know if this is in the right section, but i'd appreciate some help.

I downloaded skyrim, and i'm currently playing on Medium settings.

I get a huge lag spike that lasts anywhere from 5seconds-10seconds when i walk around. Now if i stand still nothing game runs fine, but say i'm running to another town or out in the open, boom, huge lag spike. I feel like the game is loading the next area for me?

Are my specs bad?

Nvidia 9800gt
3gb Ram Memory
MD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3600+
Windows XP

I've read on other boards and some people with similar specs can run medium.
