I absolutely detest when people lie straight up to me, especially about things that aren't even worth lying about. For example, if we were doing a group project and you told me you did your part but you really didn't or you don't need help but you really do, I'm going to be completely pissed because you lied, not because you didn't do it. Like seriously... (this is happening with some of my friends not complete strangers) I just feel like they don't trust me enough ><...
So how do you guys feel when people lie to you?

People are trying to keep face.If A), step it up, you are being not trusted for reasons. Inquire and step it up. If , take 1o1 face to face time. Put your problem in priority, try to figure out a way and if you can't; Let them worry about keeping face and tell them to either cooperate or take it to the group/higher ups/task giver. Always keep goal-focused.Usually it's both. That is why you need to constantly take steps back and reconfirm that everyone is in on the mission at hand. Make them vocally confirm that they are willing to support the mission and are willing to put the goals in priority. Make clear that every task is essential to goal fulfillment. So? Problem detected. Now you just got to take the initiative and solve it, to be able to proceed. Last edited by Ronin; 11-14-2011 at 10:27 PM. |

Saying everyone lies is broad statement, but its true though.
Honestly I was taught to be a man of his word, becuase after all Its all you are born here with and its all you will leave with. Your word. Most are probably going to say "but dude u cheated on your gf", the thing about that is, when i met her I never told her I wouldn't cheat, the topic never came up and if it ever did, i would have been flat out honest on my feelings, if i feel you're not the one then im going to move around. I am glad i am not a person who lies, I have a relative who lies ALOT, on a compulsive level. He'll make a story out of thin air, which is sad. I hate liers because of the extra brain power you have to use when they talk to you, having to decide if theyre telling the truth or not. For example, this girl lied ot me, over some stupid shyt at that, and I got fed up with having to wonder "is she telling me the truth now or is she lieing?" Noone wants to have to have to do that, so i cut her off for 4 months. It just feels good to have a persons trust and know you are reliable and trust worthy. Life is too deep for words, so just do it. If you can't then you can't. |

I used to lie a lot when I was a kid, but it never got me anywhere in life, so for over 2 decades now I've been telling the truth, and it still doesn't get me anywhere in life...go figure.
