I have a friend who has it, got it new though. I find it very solid, good value. Concerning speed: It isn't a race car, but you can let the ponies gallop quite a bit. Imagine highways in Germany like. Those have no official speed limits. Well lets say it's faster than your first car should be. Mazda? Rotary engine? That is really a bad idea, if you are not a hardcore fan. If you are it still is a bad idea, but you probably won't be happy otherwise. Definite no-go on a used car for me. (This sells in the US apparently... Used... With a dead-end tech engine on board, that had record failure rates... Amazing...) BMW? Please buy loads of spare parts, that will make my shares go up. I most likely built a part of the engine in this car myself as I am just seeing, lol... It's really a question, if it is your style. The technology in this car is tbh in my opinion the best in automotive. Infiniti? The eff is that? The GTI? Like the R32 but not as good. Last edited by Ronin; 11-15-2011 at 08:27 PM. |

Looks are not what it shines in. If you see many other cars trying to get the look right over anything, they still are a bit silly in comparison.
It definitely drives differently. It is what it is. A better way to commute from A to B. If you can think beyond looks, I think it's an attractive car, for people who do not need their car to be a lifestyle statement, but still want to beat the rest that does at being a top notch vehicle. Oh, the jealousy right now is immense. To be fair, it really comes down to what you want to do with it. If your looking for a faster, lighter car I imagine you might be wanting to take it to track days or something? Would you be looking at doing additional work to it? I would go and take them all for a test drive and go for the one that you enjoy the most because in the end it's you who you are buying the car for.
As far as what other people have mentioned here about reliable cars, there are going to be weak points to EVERY car and maintenance is going to happen no matter what. It's all in how you look after it. Personally, If I were to choose I have a soft spot for the M3, so it's probably that. Though it's very close for the RX8 and the R32. |
