So, my dad's HDD got fried.
When I enter bios it detects the HDD, when I boot it says "HDD not detected" So far I've tried - Put Windows DVD in it to check if I can reinstall/format. Plugging it to my pc - No work Plugging it to pc downstairs - NO WOERK. So what the hell? The HDD is not dead, since the Bios can detect it, but once you try to load it it goes "no u". Any techy that knows how to solve that?

Detecting =! working.
I'm afraid it's dead. The only way to retrieve data/fix it would to get another hdd of thesame brand and swap the 'motherboard' or disks. :|

But if it's cheap you might as well try it.
