Default Rift - Oh hells yeah! -

Ohay OnRPG,

I've recently started playing Rift and became a huge addict.
I'm looking for OnRPG'ers to join my shard (BloodIron PvP) so we can play together.

I've been playing for a bit, done loads of "research" so I know a lot about the game.
If you have any questions about the game, just ask below or contact Zemoa in game.

A little bit about Rift,
The combat is great, it works smooth, all classes have a different combat system,
for example; the Rogue has a WoW-like combo system. Use this and this skill to get 1-2 points, and use this skill to empty the 5 points.

The PvP is awesome, fun areas, the PvPing itself is fun.
The game encourages exploration, there are chests hidden in mountains and every area has it's own puzzle.
They reward you with Titles/Achievement/Gear.

The rifts are fun blablabla,
well I won't speak more, you should try it for yourself.

You can just register and play it or you can use my referall;

http://eu.riftgame.com/en/products/a...2jknlpjzr6xc7/

It rewards me with a companion (Gametime/Mount if more players decide to play)
((However I'm really not doing this for the gametime, I have no money issues and can pay my own sub. I'm just looking for some people to play with / help out.))

and it rewards you with

Quote:

REWARDS OF LOYALTY

You will receive these special rewards for answering your friend’s call:

Novitiate's Phylactery - A trinket that increases all experience gained by 5% until level 20!
Special in-game title: “The Chosen”
You and your friend will be linked forever, able to teleport to one another’s locations once every thirty minutes.
You and your friend will have all of each other's characters automatically entered in your Friends Lists.

If you choose to purchase and subscribe* to RIFT following the free trial, you will also receive Ascended Treasure, a wondrous chest containing the following rewards:

10x Inscribed Sourcestone
5x Plaque of Achievement
3x Mark of Ascension
2x Lucky Coin
5x Mark of Retribution

2 months ago i recieved a free month from my friend who plays Rift regularly.

I played as Necro/Lock or Pyro/Lock/Archon, depending on my mood and quests (obviously Necrolock is much better at soloing)
And i just couldn't make myself to advance further than lvl 35.
The game is pretty, the idea behind rifts and the "global" invasions is very cool, yet something about this game feels so lifeless, so uninspired and i can't put my finger on it.

The thing that really turned me down the most i guess was how some hubs handled questing.
Let's say there's a fort filled with mobs near the hub. You get 2 quests to go there, let's say kill X and bring Y. Of course the mobs you need to kill are pretty deep inside, so you need to fight your way through countless mobs, kill X, find Y, then fight your through again because the trash you cleared already respawned.
Once you get back, you get 2 more quests which are pretty much the same, but even further inside the place.
So you go back in the same fort, fight the trash mobs and the previous quest monsters, complete the quest and fight your way back again.
And of course, you get the last quest to fight the biggest, and the baddest of them all which is obviously located in the deepest spot out of all. So once again, you fight the trash mobs, kill the quest monsters from the 1st quest, then from the 2nd quest, then some more trash mobs and then finally you get to the boss. The fight is of course very anti-climatic, because he's just a normal mob with higher HP, and then you need to go all the way back, fighting the same mobs for the last time.

However dungeons and pvp were really fun. I really wish i could lvl up just by doing them, but unfortunately the queue's were usually pretty long, even though i was playing on the most populated EU server of them all.

Neverthenless i had some fun in Rift, i definitely wouldn't pay for it though.

I don't know in which area you leveled but I honestly never had a quest like that.
There were a few quests-chains that involved me going deep inside an area but the area either had a NPC right in there that I could turn in / continue, or a spot where I could summon the NPC. Who knows they changed them in one of the patches.

I play in BloodIron which currently is the most active PvP server, all good guilds from over Europe moved to this server. This week about 250 guardians and 150 defiants moved to my server.

The PvP quee at 37-39 was about 1min->5min. At 30- it was like 15-30min sadly.

But to each his own

I played rift for about 5 months before I quit. Great game, but the fun dies when you hit 50, atleast it did for me back then. ill probably play it to pass time until SWTOR comes out next month though.

that is true Trey the fun dies when you reach level 50,
yes blah blah u raid, pvp etc. but oh wow thats like most games out now or even before....

imo this game should go F2p or b2p at the very least, p2p is overboard atm, DCUO is even better than this game at max level tbh, since world pvp is always active, looking for achievement ̣(instead of what is already there like RIFT)

RIFT PVP can be fun but classes still unbalanced even tho i havnt play rift in like4 month now but i can tell that cleric still dominate all other classes..
heal-dps tank at the same time how to lose?(yes there is a build for that combo)

conclusion; dont waste your money on RIFT monthly or ur time on it, not worth it at all..

In my server we had a huge 50v50 (if not more) in IPP.
Raid Rifts are active as it can be, always 30+ people trying to close the rift.
Everyone is getting achievements everywhere.

Rift PvP can be "unbalanced" as in; some combinations are better than others.
So every class has an equal chance in PvP. And no, Cleric is actually the class that's barely played in PvP.

The actual fun starts at 50,
PvP gets prestige ranks, so after 50 you'll gain ranks in PvP which unlocks Pvp gear sets for you.
Achievement hunting
Exploring
Artifact Gathering
Raiding
Just PvPing
Closing Rifts for achievements/gear/items

When you hit 50, all XP goes to Planar Attunement so you can unlock bonusses.

Quote:

Endless possibilities
Planar Attunement lets you:

Improve your most important stats.
Master your weapons and cast more potent spells.
Maximize your effectiveness against the planes and their denizens, making their strength your own.
Open rifts to planes of your choosing, influencing how the dynamic war for Telara will unfold!
Ride faster, reduce falling damage, and much more!
The Ascended alone can harness the power of the planes. Level 50 is only the beginning…
It's on sale now for 5 euros.
But again, to each it's own.
It's the best MMO I played.
