Go to a dermatologist, doing blood work for skin conditions like like hunting an elephant with a pearing knife.

Im suprised noone here has mentioned about facial hygiene which is a HUGE part in acne breakouts, atleast for me.

using 4 gels is OVER KILL dude. Infact, the only time I ever put creme on my face is in the evening before bed. and thats just one

Want you'll want to do is, when you eventually get referred to a Dermatologist, or just Google a dermatologist in your area, make sure you see if he/she accepts your medical.

Depending on your acne, the visit will probably be like.. 10 - 15 mins, you'll be out of there the same day. I had my medicine in my hand, the very next day.

They'll MOST likely give you a Benzoyl peroxide subscription, its like the moniker of all acne treatments, make sure you get it in the facial wash type. Its avalible in a GEL form too, but its very annoying to use because it will FORCE ( and I say that with every capital letter) you to use a moisturizer, which in return will make your skin look all shiny and oily as in this pic

You see, the thing about benzoyl peroxide is, IT will destroy your acne no doubt about that. It works by drying your skin out and killing off bacteria. It also forces your skin to exfoliate, and replace skin cells at a MUCH faster rate. infact, after the first couple days you can literally see your skin peeling; its actually a stage. After your skin exfoilates, it reveals all of those pimples you have that are not visible and under your skin, then it gets rid of those and wallah. You might get scared, because you think its not working, but in reality it forces your acne to get worse cause its revealing hidden breakouts. This takes weeks, if not months to do depending on your skin type. When you couple this with your run of the mill acne treatment retinoids, like Tretonin, Tazorac, Retin-A and etc, you will have great skin.

The trade off to Benzoyl is you will have to use it for some years, its like CREATINE for the skin. When you stop using it, your body won't know how to defend itself like it would with the BP helping it, so you may or may not have acne again. :/ its cheap though, mines is free through prescription, but over the counter its like 10$? Try to get the 2.5 or 5%

Another thing is, facial washs and hygiene. You don't want to go over the line with these. Get something to use in the morning and at night.

For example, in the morning I just this

Then at Night I use a scrub along with the benzoyl peroxide wash, using too much will strip your skin away of its natural oils and do more harm than good, cause then ull be forcing your body to make even more oil. you'll know when a facial wash is too strong cause the skin on your face will feel like its turning to stone after you wash it.

Walgreens Apricot scrub is a great facial scrub (smells amazing too) and its only 3$ works better than all that expensive shit you'll be paying like 10$ for. the reason I say you want to use a scrub is cause Benzoyl Peroxide WILL make your face peel, peel ,peel. Cause you're steady replacing dead skin. so the scrub will help keep the dead skin off and the new skin showing. Also try not to touch your face alot.

As for Vitamin A, I'd recommend these pills here
http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/univ/daily.html
1 a day, and theres a 100 pills in it, so it'll last you 3 months. Vits and Minerals, Only 6$, you can't beat that with a bat. Careful with the Vitamin B though, it'll make you piss out mountain dew.
Good luck, and enjoy your new face lol.

For the record, and anyone else reading this that is interested...

Its worth noting that whatever you use to shave can also make you break out really bad. I have to use unscented shave gel that doesn't have a whole bunch of different things in it because I figured out thats what was making me break out pretty badly.

The stuff I use now is Edge, and its the one with the silver/gray cap.

Worth taking into consideration.

yeah this is true. When ever i shave i get bumps, its because the hair follicles become infected.

Well, mine was because the shave foam/gels I was using were causing my skin to react. If you shave carefully you shouldn't run into that.

Doesn't seem to be
On the other hand it's probably a good practice in general to take a warm/heated moist cloth and let it sit on your face to help draw out the infection. Pimples, zits, blisters, whatever it is you have all contain some amount of sera and or other fluids. The warm/hot cloth tends to help draw these things out.

You might also want to use a hypo allergenic lotion on your face to help hold in moisture to the affected area. Baby lotion would work. On the off chance that part of the problem is because of the clothing you come in contact with or maybe your bed linens, try washing them in basic/simple detergents, no fabric softeners. By 'basic/simple' detergents I mean something like Dreft.

I thought this would've been common sense....... I'm so confused now by male hygiene.
