Default The SOPA issue

Thought it isn't an MMO in any way, i feel this is worth bringing to everyone heres attention as it can effect each and every one of us. TB did a video on it explaining what the bill means and its far reaching consequences.

This forum has had many off-topic...topics in it's lifetime. But this really doesn't belong here.

Moved it from Free MMO.

It affects more than just MMOs and games in general, so hence I moved it to general. :|

If this gets approves the consequences will be devastating. What worries me the most is how other countries will act if it is approved, they might take upon themselves to do something similar. I say boycott the companies that are behind it, even though its much easier said than done when you take in consideration many people aren't even aware of whats going on.

List of SOPA supporters

Some names just make my head hurt how irrelevant they are to this bill/problem

Not to mention this about the 4th SOPA topic in 2 weeks. Most of the people who are so outspoken against it aren't even aware of the history of SOPA(such as the Protect IP act) and are only outraged because they heard about it via facebook.

Its hard to hear about things that are kinda hidden, kept out of the public. the "news" doesnt say a thing about it. If I had never started going to Reddit, I wouldn't have a clue what it is. And Im usually all over the internet. I dont have a spidey sense on these things.
