Ive been playing for about 2 1/2 years so far and the only raids i really did were ICC and some older ones. Ive only legit raided the first couple raids back in the first month of CATA. I have no time to sit there every week to look for a raid and or join a guild with a schdule beucase i have to work all the time and then my internet shuts off at 9pm(step dads been doing this for 5 years. Im 18 now >.>) So really having the feeling of raiding for once whenever i want to is aamzing cuz if there was no raid finder i prolly would of stopped playing. That was the main reason i started again.

Just a little heads up about your "Blizzard is working on Titan because WoW is dying" bit.
Blizzard has been working on Titan for the last like...4+ years. Not to mention Cataclysm was the best thing to ever happen to the game since TBC. With the exception of Heroic Lich King, and pre-nerf Ulduar, WotLK was probably the worst expansion that brought about some of the biggest balance issues for PvP and just stale content in general. |

WoW doesn't suck, it's content has gotten a lot better. It has gotten boring to me though. I don't really feel a sense of community in WoW anymore and it got boring. The fun part of WoW for me was running instances with server people and getting to make friends with them. Sure you can still do that, but queueing to dungeon with randoms is just so much more efficient in terms of time and loot...
There is no longer a sense of worldliness in World of Warcraft for me anymore. You pretty much auto-queue to anything and get teleported there. Sure people hated walking to the instance etc. but I hope you understand what I mean. As for Mists of Pandaria, I think it'll make WoW better. I remembered when TBC came out I was hoping that Pandaren would be the new alliance race And now they're redoing the talent trees so that it's brand spankin' new and makes me think about playing my druid again because they're becoming closer to true hybrids again like the old vanilla days .I'll probably play GW2 instead because I prefer it over modern day WoW, but you should take back what you said about WoW. It's still going strong, it won't be killed, it's STILL a very great game. Just the target audience has shifted over a little bit. In fact, it's still the #1 MMO on my list. |

WoW DOES suck. Once you've played it for several years. I just can't go back to the damned game anymore. Ive played since 06', stopped a few weeks into cata. Its totally burned out on me, but it was a damn good run though. Met lots of people, had fun, and saw somethings. Was totally worth it, i'll never forget the first few months i spent playing it. Best i ever had.
Can't wait for Blizzards next MMO though.. |

As people say its became more casual player friendly and you can quickly join raids with less emphasis on gearscore and such i'm considering joining wow now, i just tried the trial a few months ago never gotten into it.
Edit: I brought the game a few months ago but i didn't played it checked im legible for annual pass, might do this. Last edited by jack_frost; 01-12-2012 at 12:02 AM. |

It doesn't suck, although it does to me now. The worlds old no matter what they did to it, same old zones really unless they completely mix around with it.. Same old grind on these dungeons, now do these and now raid... That seemed to keep me interested before but it's had it's day, hoping other players quit and start populating some other mmo's.. |

All the free games coming from Asia try to copy the formula that WoW made great. However, the production value is so low and the games "don't feel right" or you can't jump or the combat is too slow or the UI is ugly (or cash shop). To me the term WoW-clone doesn't necessarily mean they "copied" WoW, it just fits into that genre that Blizzard pulled off the best. Personally I think the dungeon finder ruined the game for me, almost like when you use cheat codes in another game. Sure it made finding dungeons groups a million times easier, but it is less satisfying. There's no sense of community anymore. No one waits by the entrance to a dungeon to look for members. Most people sit in town and queue for things and they will never have to leave. I hate that. I used to enjoy the game a lot more back in the Vanilla and even TBC days but it doesn't mean the game is worse now. Cataclysm changed so much and made everything so much simpler. It almost feels mindless now. There's no room for experimentation within the game because the character options are too simple now. Removing spells that saw little use doesn't make sense to me. I would rather they include more spells with less obvious (but important) utility. OP is right in saying that WoW will die soon. Not to say Guild Wars 2 is going to be the "killer" but the next generation of quality and different games surely will. Blizzard knows this as it is no secret. I'm sure the expansion will bring a new race and a new continent and a handful of new spells for each class but is that enough to keep it going? Maybe if the expansion brought a new combat system? or more platforming aspects? But why would they waste things like that when they can just keep pumping out skins and continents and millions will pay 50 bucks on release day. The game is as good as it ever was, maybe even better. It's just not good enough for me (and others) anymore. |

If the raid encounters were interesting, challenging, and rewarding to accomplish like they should be, I'd probably still be playing. But with the quick nerfs to Firelands after that came out and the piss-poor last tier raid of the expansion, my raid just freakin quit.
It doesn't feel like much of an accomplishment to reach the last boss in 1-2 weeks of raiding, and the encounters were all completely forgettable and simple. Especially whats-her-name, the wolf chick boss. It was a roflfest whenever Lefos would get killed by the very slowly rotating ice walls. |

Seriously, tier 13 is so dull that I took it upon myself to attempt to force wipes towards the end of my time with the game.
