It's simple as hell, but I can't remember what to do with the f(x) part of it, one of those brain freeze moments.
I need to find the vertical stretch of f(x)=-5sin(x+7°)-5. Can anyone help?

I might be wrong, but it should be -5. It's the whole case of y = ax + b, and b is the y-intercept (I think) and a is the slope. Slope can compress or expand the line so that should be what you want.
Though I vaguely remember something about doing a y/a or something. Been too long. |
