A is where we left. B was the destination.
I is when we finally got there. We had gone to Athens before, so we didnt print out any directions. 4 blunts in a hour, and we realized we didnt know where the **** we were going. Somehow ended up in South Carolina, then almost in ATL. http://g.co/maps/4u7zk So go A>C>D etc. 3 hour drive took up close to 8-9 hours. We left at like 9PM. We ended up passing like 20 creepy *** churches. Like murderer lookin churches. Like tey would have dead babies in back. Bunch of graves. An airport, dumpsters just chillin on the side of the road out of place. A whole lot of random *** shit. At some point we ended up on a dirt road.

The first time I ever went on an airplane, it was November of 1983, I've only been on a plane two more times since then, once in March of 1992, and then again around April of 2008. Never been out of the country, just 3 plane rides all in Canada.

Grandparents forced me to go on a pilgrimage and I have to say I've never had such a wonderful time in my life, EVER.
Monday: arrived, unpacked, went to look at the basically made out of gold church, got bored instantly went into the van and went barhopping Tuesday: walk the small pilgrimage followed by barhopping Wednesday: I was supposed to walk the big one, but I overslept and went barhopping Thursday: play some cards with the elder people followed by barhopping Friday: barhopping and prepared to go back home I still have some pics of this but I can't be bothered to link them. tl;dr grandparents sent me on pilgrimage and spent the week drinking there instead

Even tho i didnt make the full 2000 miles of the Appalachian trail, its without a doubt the greatest adventure ive had so far. I plan on finishing it up next spring after i have saved back up on money.
Im also planning a 250mile kayak trip with 2 friends down the ohio. Should be happening this coming fall. Edit; The AT was by far the best, and hardest experience of my life. Ive hiked and endurance rode my whole life and it still worked me hard. But fulfilling in a spiritual way. Its hard to explain Last edited by kait0s; 01-14-2012 at 10:00 PM. |
