Hails everyone, I just wandered in from off the street (noticed this site listed as an as-seen-on on a YouTube video) so I decided that I'd try to make a visit.

I suppose I should introduce myself. I am an anthropologist and a technology journalist who enjoys and studies video games -- specifically I've been working on MMOs and the cultures that inhabit them -- as a result, I figured this would be a good place to nest for a while.

I'm not sure what the general environment here is, but I hope to be involved in or at least spectate on the conversation.

What is everyone playing nowadays?

I'd love to see if there's anyone who'd like to give me a tour of their personal MMO experience.

Hello there and welcome to OnRPG! Anthropologist? So you're on a thesis or something?

Hmmm... as for personal experiences in MMORPGs...

Usually I play solo, and I usually play games with people I know IRL. Aside from that, I'm mostly a casual gamer and I play whenever I feel like it and not because I have scheduled meets with guildmates (because I don't go for guilds often). Hmmm... the MMOGamers scene is quite varied, I think, though you no doubt have more info on that.

Anyway, welcome again to OnRPG! Hope you enjoy your stay! :P
